The
Mission |
The 2008 Conference aims to have each
participant leave with a sense of empowerment that they can move
beyond their perceived boundaries. Further, the conference will
also solidify and encompass the engaging needs of the Indian and
South Asian professional community."Explore. Dream. Discover."
During the history of the Network of Indian Professionals (NetIP),
the organization has significantly expanded from one that simply
unites South Asian professionals to one that challenges and
empowers South Asian professionals to "explore, dream, and
discover". The growth of NetIP North America is largely
influenced by its local chapters across various major cities
throughout the U.S and Canada. In 2008, NetSAP Boston along with NetIP North
America will demonstrate the tremendous potential of NetIP
globally. Here, where the voices of democracy were first heard, we
at NetIP declare to:
Explore new opportunities
As South Asians have expanded into the community and made their
presence known in particular fields and disciplines, we have the
opportunity to look beyond the status quo and to expand our
potentials. Never before has there been a greater prospect for
South Asians to take on new risks in their careers and their
personal lives. Strategizing in one's career and striving for
activities outside regular career are key themes of this conference.
Dream the impossible
We encourage South Asians to believe in what they thought was
unattainable. The chances to expand beyond one's network are
constantly increasing. As we have established ourselves as a known
entity, we now have the chance to take our vision one step
further. For a South Asian to become governor of Louisiana and
possibly a presidential candidate is a dream our community might
find impossible even today but one that may potentially be
embraced by this rising star.
Discover the unexpected
Perhaps no one thinks they can break their current status and find
new prospects, but there is more waiting for us than we may
realize. We hope this may come about for those who expand beyond
their horizons, who first "explore" and "dream". We hope to
motivate South Asian professionals to keep reaching beyond through
the various events, discussions, and workshops that we will offer.
Thus, the 2008 conference boldly embodies the theme of
"Explore. Dream. Discover."
